O Glorious Day

What a great feeling to wake to a Democratic Victory. I thought they were a myth. Rick Santorum: GONE. Donald Rumsfeld: GONE. That one I couldn't believe. That's fear. I actually have my faith in mankind renewed. I thought the party that tried to blame the Mark Foley scandal on Democrats was going to win. I waited an hour in line to vote. Granted I live in Texas and my vote was like a pebble in the ocean, but vote I did. The thing that upset me while waiting was how many people left. What if they were Democrats. I saw 10 people leave, the line went up a flight of stairs so I don't know how many other people left upon seeing the line, but let's say it was a total of 20. These people, when multiplied by districts all across the country, could swing elections. You don't usually get to see voter apathy, but there it was. But I can't complain too much, we control the House and most likely the Senate. I'm more hopeful for the future. Hell, I have hope! USA! USA! USA!
